I have been in the horse industry for 25 years. raising my two daughters and now my son. I have always had a facination with horsehair jewelry but it’s wasnt untill my daughters pony Frosty was injured last year that I real explored it. We needed to raise money for his surgery so my daughter and I started to make jewelry to sell. I experimented and perfected my skills with horsehair   Jewelry and H&L custom creations was born. Frosty continues to be our inspiration to work hard to provide with all the care he needs in elder years. he has made a fully recovery and is back to doing what he loves. I never realized that with my 10 years in the veterinary field coaching owners through their love and loss that this is the perfect job of passion for me. I just love being able to help others by creating these pieces for them to heal and remember their beloved horses.

Q: Do you need to wash the tail?
A: No, we will do that for you.

Q: How much tail to you need to send me?

A: It depends on the piece you ordered but it has to be at least 12 inches long and a pencil thickness. For double bracelets a thumb thickness is best. You can send what you have and I will return the rest. 

Q: Can you use mane hair?

A: Yes, we can use mane hair for pieces like rings and some pendants. Tail hair is always preferred but it can be done.
